Holiday Hot Cocoa with Benefits

Indulge in this dairy free holiday treat while reaping the benefits of cacao, maca and collagen!  Cacao is full of antioxidants and free radicals and may help regulate blood sugar levels.  Maca has a delicious nutty flavor and is a known adaptogen that helps fight against stress and fatigue.  Collagen is great for keeping hair skin and nails healthy, while adding a little protein to the recipe.


1 1/2 cups non-dairy milk (we love oat milk for this recipe)
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp maca powder
1 serving collagen powder


Heat oat milk in a pot over medium heat.  Whisk in cacao, cocoa, maca and collagen, mixing well so no lumps form.  Add in Gingerbread Cashew Butter and continue to whisk until it's smooth like the rest of the ingredients.  Continue to heat on stove while whisking until you reach a desired drinking temperature.  Pour into a mug and top with a dash of cinnamon.

This recipe can also be made as coffee by replacing the 1 1/2 c non-dairy milk with brewed coffee.
